Spring 2013 Check In and Orientation Information

Congratulations on your recent admission to UNLV!  We’re very excited to welcome you to the UNLV community.

By now, you should have logged into your MyUNLV account and accepted your offer of admission.  If you would like to review a tutorial on how log into MyUNLV, please click here.

For additional tutorials on how to register for courses in the MyUNLV system, please click here.
In MyUNLV, please take a minute to look at your "To Do" List and see what holds you have on your account.  Any holds you have will need to be resolved before you register for courses, and the "To Do" items you have will have due dates associated with them.

All newly admitted international students need to complete the Check-In Process. You can do most of it online, and International Advisors, located in the Enrollment Services Center (SSC-C), will update your MyUNLV checklist accordingly.

To complete the International Check-In Process, please complete the following steps:

1. Log into MyUNLV:

- Update your US Address by going to “Personal Information” and clicking on "Home Address”.  This address must be in Las Vegas, North Las Vegas, Pahrump, Henderson, or Boulder City, Nevada.
- Update your US Home Phone by going to “Personal Information” and clicking on “Primary Home”
- Update your Emergency Contact Information by going to “Personal Information” and clicking on “Emergency Contact” (Phone number required)
- Read, understand, and “Accept” the F-1 Rules and Regulations information in your MyUNLV Communications Center

2. Attend an International Orientation Session.  You will receive more information about this program in the Communications Center in MyUNLV.  During this program, you will need to bring the following documents:
        A. All previous and current I-20s
        B. I-94
        C. Visa
        D. Passport

Please be advised the Orientation for International Students is mandatory.  International Orientation Dates for Spring 2013 are to be determined, but different sessions will be offered (one within 30 days of your Program Start Date, and one after classes begin, which will be reserved for Late Arrivals).

If you have any questions, please feel free to contact us at 1-702-895-3443 or oiss@unlv.edu.  We look forward to seeing you!
Regards,

The UNLV International Advising Team
